Interference Measurements to the Kionia Civil Aviation Radar System

In November 2009 Cyta assigned Netfon with the task of detecting interference signals to the Kionia civil aviation radar system, measuring their level and identifying the direction of their source.

Following 2-day measurements at the Kionia radar station and at various locations in Cyprus, the interfering signals were detected, their nature and direction of origin were identified, their level measured and a relevant report with the findings and recommendations for action was submitted to Cyta.
